Biologist Raymond Peat was one of the earliest people to extensively write about the benefits of red and near-infrared light. Decades back, before the large volumes of modern research on the subject, he was advocating for its application in a wide range of health conditions related to poor energy metabolism.
Vladimir Heiskanen is well-known in the red light therapy research community for compiling of an extensive database of red light therapy research. He has also published his own academic papers and blog articles on the subject. In this interview we ask him about the past, present and future of red light therapy.
